PROJECT

VSO is an international charity fighting injustice and unfairness by bringing together volunteers to share life-changing skills with those who need them most. Their bi-annual magazine, Kin delves in-depth into stories of justice, hope and change of VSO's work around the world.

CHALLENGE

Our mission was to break away from the conventional fundraising magazine design norms. We aimed to produce stunning editorial designs that educate, engage, and inspire readers while driving donations.

SOLUTION

As the lead designer, I worked closely with the Editor as well as talented illustrators and photographers. We made graphics and creative layouts for each article whether it be an inspiring account of a volunteer or a hard-hitting sensitive story. Kin reaches 30,000 supporters per magazine. My collaboration with the Editor and Writers helped to bring together design and content for six beautifully designed editions. A selection of some of the article layouts are below.
